WWE 12 glitch
So yeah, I was playing WWE 12 and had downloaded some DLCs (the entire Divas and first package, as well as Fan Axxess) and after I began to play again, the game began to lock up after the first match in Exhibition. After browsing the WWW, I found no way real way to fix it on my PS3 but did see some people suffering the same problems (wether it was for the same reason, I'm not sure.) so I deleated my WWE 12 data and, somehow, that fixed the glitch... Don't know if it works for everyone, but it was worth trying.

Should I finish this... What if...Lance Storm won the WCW World Heavyweight Title? Pt. 1

Background: I've decided that firstly, I'll do a what if on a virtually unknown title match. In fact, it wasn't even a main event match and it was on an edition of Nitro from August 7, 2000
Lance Storm, one of the most underused performers in WWF/E, had arrived only recently at WCW and he QUICKLY established himself as a real title threat, winning the Hardcore, Cruiserweight, and US Heavyweight titles (and renaming them). He was brash and arrogant, and seemed serious in everything that he did. Looking to prove that he was the best in the world, he looked to become the FIRST EVER man to hold all singles title belts at once.
Lance Storm's goal of becoming the WCW World Champion was not going to be easy, however, as he had to take on the then 1 time WCW World Champion Booker T. Though he entered WCW as a tag team expert with his brother Stevie Ray in Harlem Heat, after roughly 7 years he was finally able to become a main event singles player in WCW. Though the way he won the belt at WCW Bash of the Beach was somewhat, well, crummy (Vince Russo fired then champion Hulk Hogan during a live PPV broadcast and then announced a match between Jeff Jarrett and Booker T for the new world title) he was one of the more over performers on the roster.
What really happened: Though they put on a good match, Booker T claimed victory and would hold onto the belt until the August 28th edition of Nitro, losing it to Kevin Nash. He would go on to become a 5 time 5 time 5 time 5 time 5 TIME WCW Champion (4 of those coming in the original WCW.) Lance, on the other hand, would form Team Canada and begin a go no where feud with General Rection and MIA, eventually losing the Canadian Heavyweight belt to Rection who renamed it to the US Heavyweight Belt. Lance would NEVER touch main event, or even upper mid card, status again. Oh, and he gave up the WCW 100 kgs and under belt to Elix Skipper and the WCW Saskatchewan International Hardcore Title to Carl Ouellet.
Well let's get on with the show...
The scene: We are coming in on the closing moments of the Booker T-Lance Storm match for the WCW World Title. Booker had just broken Lance Storm's Mapleleaf and, though we are now reaching only the five minute mark, the competition between these two has been fierce. Every second of the match, the crowd slowly begins to think that Lance Storm could very well win the world belt, and the thought does not please them...
August 7th, 2000 Monday Nitro
Storm begins to argue briefly with the referee after the ref forced Lance to break his Mapleleaf. He can't argue for to long though, as Booker T goes right after Storm. Storm manages to silent Booker's offense with a sidekick. Storm the charge at Booker, but Booker get's up and nails the 110th Street Slam but only gets a two count. Booker then begins to climb the ropes, and does not notice Bret Hart (who at this point was in semi-retirement) heading down to the ring and begins to distract the referee as Booker T nails Lance with a missile dropkick.
Hart, however, is not the one who gets involved, as Elix Skipper hops out through the crowd, gets into the ring, and performs the Play of the Day on Booker! Elix then ducks out of the ring as Storm begins to get up and Hart hops off the apron. Storm looks at Hart and mouths out "This is for us" as he picks up Booker, who is barely able to stand, and does his old ECW finisher Deep Impact for the 1, 2, 3.
Bret Hart, Lance Storm, and Elix Skipper re enter the ring and celebrate as the announcers and Mike Awesome (who had joined the booth prior to the match) wonder what this means for the world title match at New Blood Rising.
August 9th, 2000 Thursday Thunder
Right after the opening pyro for Thunder goes off, the announcers run down the match card: The Great Muta and Vampiro vs Sting and the Cat as the main event of the night, and a promised announcement by Team Canada at the end of the night.
In the middle of the main event tag match, however, Lance Storm, Bret Hart, Elix Skipper, and two new faces in the form of Carl Oulette and Jacques Rougeau head down to the ring. The man involved in the match are to busy to notice, allowing the invaders to split up: Lance, Elix, and Carl heading over to Vampiro's position on the apron and Bret and Jacques heading over to The Cat's position on the apron.
Vampiro and Cat do not even know what hit them until they are looking up at the attackers from the floor. Sting and Muta finally notice Bret Hart, entering the ring with a mic while leaving Jacques to finish off the Cat (which he does.). "Sting, Muta, please just hear me out. That's all I ask from you at this moment."
Sting and Muta both eye Bret and the other Canadiens who are standing outside of the ring. Though clearly hesitant, they both nod there heads. Bret then heads center stage, and turns to face the crowd.
"For quite some time now you people..." Bret points out into the crowd, who stays quiet curious about where this is going, "...Have had to watch WCW, the same company that destroyed that other company in Stamford while no other company came close, a company that still persist that they stay true to the tradition of professional wrestling become the CRAPPIEST PROMOTION IN THE WORLD TODAY!"
Lance, Elix, Carl, and Jacques all nod their heads in agreement while Sting and Muta continue to look on confused.
"A part of it is that WCW is ruining what made WCW great. I thought we were making strides in the right direction when that "orange goblin" got fired, but I was wrong. If anything, WCW's became worst since his departure, and it's all because the wrong people continue to be pushed, while the WRESTLERS in this company get passed aside for some guy who went up north to take over the country music business by wrestling, a break dancer, a "fat chick thrilla", are the guys are battling it out for the world title, while REAL WRESTLERS like Lance Storm and Elix Skipper were going to be wasted. That's why I did what I had to do when I helped Lance win the WCW World title."
Bret smiles and now turns around in a circle, stopping to look at Muta and Sting.
"Now that I'm looking around, we all have one thing besides being great wrestlers that pulls us together. Humiliation. We've all had to suffer through it. I, well, we all know what happened to be by now. Lance Storm was being held back in some bingo hall in Philly! Elix was in the CFL and as much as I love Canada, that's humiliation enough. Carl Ouellet and Jacques here WERE FORCED TO DRESS LIKE MOUTIES! And that brings me to you two" he now points at Muta.
"Great Muta, you tell ANYONE in Japan that name and they start to shake in fear. They think back to one of the bloodiest, yet most scientific, wrestlers in the history of our sport. You've faced Hogan, Sting, and were the face of a new day in NJPW. What do you get in America though? They say, "Who? OH that guy who lost to Sting" or "That creepy guy in nWo Japan?" Do you want to know why that is, your treated like a joke here in the state. Your mist, your mannerisms, the things that got you revered in Japan, there a joke to Turner..."
"...And you Sting..." Bret now turns his attention to Sting "...You took were the FRANCHISE of WCW, but then you got shoved aside by Hogan and that nWo garbage. Now sure, you weren't shoved aside as badly as other WCW roster members, but you've appeared to have fallen the most. You were forced to be a cr-...excuse me...a "vulture". "A sad mime". Some kind of batman wannabe? I still can't tell you what you were supposed to be, but what I can tell you is that you of ALL people should not be here on Thunder paired up with some no-name "martial artist" and facing off against whatever Vampiro is supposed to be! You and Muta both should be headlining Pay-Per-Views. That is why...well, Lance, you tell them."
Lance now enters the ring with a microphone and proceeds to say, "Sting, Muta, I am willing to give you both a shot at my World Heavyweight Championship but on one condition." Lance now pauses in an attempt to build dramatic effect, "You join us. You join the Tradition and help us bring WRESTLING back to WCW. We will rid ourselves of the "New Blood" and the dinosaurs that have sent this promotion stumbling into mediocrity. So tell me, what do you two say."
Lance extends his hand and Muta, who appears to have been fired up by Bret and Lance, takes his hand without hesitation. Sting, on the other hand, eyes Lance's hand with suspicion. Sting says "Are you for real about this?" to which Lance nods his head. Sting slowly takes Lance's hand and the crowd starts to give a very mixed reaction. The other members get into the ring and Bret saids "Ladies and gentleman, give it up for the Tradition!" The crowd continues a mixed reaction and the Tradition all hold their hands up and the camera fades to black as the announcers speculate what this means for New Blood Rising.

My hopes
Well, for now I hope for this blog to become an extensive What If... collection for stories related to Pro Wrestling. I did have a blog once before, and tried this same experiment, but did not get very far... I hope to have my first story up by Christmas, and to also began regular posting by Jan. 12th. Now, the only other thing to note is that sometimes those post will be simply to share my opinions on the going ons in the real wrestling world, and to update you on any delays in my schedule and all that stuff. I hope any of the guys who see this continue to come back and hopefully, I'll grow as a writer and all that good stuff.
Just a few notes about me: I'm a high school student, a junior, and am currently trying to stop slacking off...
I do enjoy writing, and though I'm not the most grammatically correct person, I do think my spelling is typically pretty good.
Pro Wrestling is my life; I've done some training in it, and I've grown up watching it. My dream was to someday be a Professional Wrestler, but sadly my GF, who I feel is the one for me, wants me to give it up.
Oh, and last but not least, I do tend to have "lazy streaks". I'm trying to overcome that, but if I slack off for that reason then I say sorry and hope any readers will forgive me! xD
